Lewis works mainly with silkscreen processes but often combines this with painting in order to create an illusion as to what is paint and what is print. His work deals directly with the awkwardness surrounding our inability to discuss matters of a personal nature. Using metaphors and the expressive nature of the female form, his work tells tales of relationships, sex, secrets, desire, despise and human interaction.
Since finishing a degree in Fine Art Printmaking at Loughborough University, Lewis has become a member of the Oxford Printmakers Co-op and has helped with the organisation of a young art group called Artisjustaword. Since 1998 he has regularly exhibited work in London, Oxford and Brighton and has also worked on a number of commissions.
